21:40: Fernando Llorente was set to join Chelsea from Swansea ahead of London rivals Tottenham, according to former Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given.
Llorente is to complete a move to Tottenham imminently and has been pictured in a Spurs shirt.
Chelsea were the side who showed initial interest in the Swansea frontman, with their pursuit starting in the January transfer window.
However, Tottenham snuck in ahead of the champions and agreed a fee for the Spaniard this morning, with a medical taking place today.
Given was adamant Llorente would join Chelsea and says Conte will be annoyed the deal has not gone through.
“Another one that surprised me was Llorente,” Given said on Sky Sports.
“He has gone to Tottenham of course and I thought he would definitely go to Chelsea. Conte worked with him at Juventus before, I thought that was a perfect match for him to go there, but he’s chosen Tottenham.
“I don’t think Conte will be overly happy with that one either.”

Done Deal: Chelsea sell Mars

21:35: Chelsea have sold Malakai Mars to Barnet for an undisclosed fee.
Forward Mars was a regular in Chelsea’s youth side and was expected to play in the UEFA Youth League this season.
But he has secured a deadline day transfer to Barnet.

“I’ve been asked about this a lot and I'm really hoping it doesn't backfire on me but told Chelsea are not pursuing any deal for Riyad Mahrez,” Law tweeted.

Leicester double deal hinges on Chelsea

20:50: Leicester are in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon star Adrien Silva.

Matt Law of The Telegraph adds that Craig Shakespeare’s side are close to an agreement to sign long-term target Aleksandar Dragovic from Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan.

Barkley rejects Chelsea

The talented midfielder was expected to swap Goodison Park for Stamford Bridge after refusing to sign a new contract.
But it appears Barkley doesn’t want to join the Premier League champions and could instead try to fight his way back into Ronald Koeman’s plans.
Ornstein said on BBC Radio Five Live: “I don’t mean to be the bearing of more bad news for Chelsea.
“But Barkley has turned down a move to Chelsea tonight. Not official. Don’t know whether that opens the way for a move to Tottenham or to stay at Everton.
“But the information I’m receiving is that he has rejected Chelsea.”

Barkley to West Ham is 10x more likely

20:05: Paddy Power have taken a series of bets on Ross Barkley joining West Ham this evening – prompting the bookmaker to slash odds on the move from 50/1 to 5/1.
The out-of-favour Everton playmaker had been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham but, given his contract stalemate at Goodison Park, may find regular football at West Ham enticing in a World Cup season.

Last-gasp Marcos Llorente swoop

20:00: Real Madrid star Marcos Llorente has an offer from Chelsea, according to surprise reports in Spain.
Llorente is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid under boss Zinedine Zidane.

He turned out 28 times for the Turks in his first spell there and is now back at the club.

Watford land Zeegelaar

A done deal at Vicarage Road next, as Watford have signed defender Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting on a four-year deal.

However, his decision to go out on loan is purely to get himself back to his best as he still believes he has a future at Stoke.

Alexis Sanchez to stay at Arsenal after Gunners fail to land either Thomas Lemar or Julian Draxler as replacement

Arsenal insist Alexis Sanchez is staying.
Manchester City left it too late to make a bid and even though they tabled £60m it did not give them enough time to get a deal done.

Arsenal striker Lucas Perez to join Deportivo La Coruna with Joel Campbell heading for Real Betis

Lucas Perez is set to rejoin former club Deportivo La Coruna on loan with a view to a permant move.
The Gunners are keen to offload the £17m striker who has been a major flop after struggling to hold down a place since signing a year ago.
There has been other interest but Perez wants Deportivo, they know Arsenal want to shift him and are leaving it late to get the best deal possible.
That is likely to happen after some brinkmanship but Arsenal are likely to be left with some big earners who may end up not even being in the 25 man Premier League squad.

Renato Sanches's Swansea squad number choice gets rejected by Premier League

It seems to be universally accepted that Swansea City’s deadline day move to sign Renato Sanches on loan is one of the best Premier League deals of the summer.
The Portuguese youngster heads to Wales on a temporary move from Bayern Munich , with Swans boss Paul Clement - a former assistant at the German club - making good use of his contacts.
Sanches was in the Portugal squad which won Euro 2016 last year, but struggled for game time at the Allianz Arena following his move from Benfica last May.
And it seems as though Sanches was determined to remember those good times now he’s at Swansea.
Because he initially chose to wear the number 85 shirt for the club, which is the same number he wore in Lisbon.

Jadon Sancho completes move to Borussia Dortmund as Manchester City lose wonder kid for just £170,000

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Jadon Sancho from Manchester City for a fee believed to be around £170,000.
City have succeeded in keeping the 17-year-old away from their Premier League rivals, though it remains a big blow to lose such a special talent.
Sporting director Michael Zorc could not hide his delight at pulling off the deal for one of Europe’s most exciting young players.
“We are very pleased that Jadon Sancho, who is currently one of the greatest talents in European football, will definitely want to play at BVB,” Zorc said.
“We are convinced that we can help this very young player continue to develop his game and become a real enrichment for our team in the medium term.”

Hazard: "I'm worth €300m"

“I don’t know how much I would cost,” Hazard told HNL. “Maybe €300 million? It all depends on the market. Neymar is a Brazilian, has a lot of potential, is a year younger than I am and played for Barcelona.
“A transfer fee also depends on your contract and on a number of other things. We will see how much I am worth if I ever get a transfer.
“I didn’t really think about a transfer much. Although maybe it did cross my mind [that I could have joined Barcelona following Neymar’s transfer]. A lot has happened this transfer window. That’s a good thing.
“Every time someone leaves a club, other players could come in to replace them. If it isn’t me, then at least it’s someone else. But I am feeling well at Chelsea. I have just started my sixth season here and I am enjoying myself.”

ALEXIS SANCHEZ TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: uArsenal star linked with Manchester United and Manchester City
Deadline Day

Alexis Sanchez in Man City shirt? Nope…

15:55: Alexis Sanchez has been pictured in a Manchester City shirt… or has he?
Manchester City want to sign Sanchez ahead of tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.
The Chile international today ‘liked’ a tweet of a fan singing him a song convincing him to stay at Arsenal.
But Sanchez could be on his way to Manchester City with pictures doing the rounds on Twitter on him in their light blue kit.
Sanchez is currently with Chile ahead of his national side's 2018 World Cup qualifying games against Paraguay and Bolivia.
The blurry picture appears to show Sanchez wearing this season’s Manchester City kit in front of a green screen.
However, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a tattoo on his left arm, something Sanchez does not have.
The inking is very similar to that of current City star Leroy Sane, leading fans to suggest that the original image has been doctored.

City submit second Sanchez bid, Arsenal want Lemar

14:45: There’s a major deal in the pipeline, according to Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague.
Balague claims Manchester City have made a second offer of £55million plus a further £5m in performance-related add-ons.
It’s believed that Arsenal have asked for more time locate a replacement in the shape of Monaco superstar Thomas Lemar.
Balague tweeted: “Alexis close to sign for City for £55m + £5m. Arsenal asked for few hours to sign Thomas Lemar, which they confident they are going to do.”

Draxler back on radar!

11:10: Telegraph journalist Matt Law has provided some exciting updates for Arsenal fans.
Law claims that Arsene Wenger has revived his interest in Julian Draxler, who may be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain today.
With Manchester City still weighing-up a second approach for Sanchez, it’s believed Wenger has selected Draxler as his replacement.
The arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have left PSG needing to balance the books with Draxler the most likely to leave.

No bids for Sanchez

10:55: Arsenal have received no further bids for Alexis Sanchez.
Sky Sports claim nobody has bid for the Chilean superstar since Tuesday, and Arsenal will NOT accept a cash offer as they don't have enough time to replace him.

Arsenal agree Sanchez fee - Alan Brazil

10:10: Arsenal look to have agreed a fee to sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City, according to Alan Brazil.
Brazil reckons the fact Manchester City have sent a delegation to Chile to thrash out a deal with Sanchez, means a fee must have been settled with Arsenal.
"If what we here is true that a delegation from Manchester City have gone out there, that tells me the clubs have agreed a price,” Brazil said on talkSPORT.
“It's just personal terms now.”
Former Arsenal and England goalkeeper David Seaman agreed that looked like the case.
Seaman is hopeful Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will bring some players in before the transfer deadline shuts at 11pm tonight.
"Yeah it does look like that,” he said in response to Brazil’s claim.

Four-figure bet on Sanchez to United

09:50: This one’s certain to get the transfer window spinning.
Bookmakers Paddy Power have dramatically halved the odds on Alexis Sanchez joining Manchester United today – from 10/1 to 5/1 – after a four-figure bet in a Manchester store this morning.
United have been loosely linked with the winger all summer, and were said to be revitalising their interest in Inter’s Ivan Perisic.
But they could instead push for a dramatic swoop for Sanchez, ahead of local rivals City.

Swans to seal Sanches

07:25: Swansea are close to completing the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches on a season-long loan.
Express Sport understands that Swansea have made significant progress in talks with Sanches' representatives and that the deal could be concluded before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Sanches' signing would represent a significant coup for Swansea and their head coach Paul Clement, who worked with the Portugal midfielder in his role as Bayern assistant coach last season.
Swansea have been seeking a creative influence since the departure of Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton for a club-record £45million fee two weeks ago.

Spurs spoil the party

07:15: Tottenham have matched Chelsea’s bid for Swansea talisman Fernando Llorente.
The Premier League champions have offered £15million for the Spanish international, but Spurs have now offered the same.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants support for Harry Kane and powerful Spain forward Llorente fits the bill.

Hammers eye Gomes

07:05: West Ham are weighing up a deadline day move for Barcelona’s Andre Gomes.
Gomes managed just 17 starts in La Liga and isn’t set to be part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans this summer.
And according to ESPN, West Ham could make a move for the 24-year-old today with Barca willing to listen to offers.
The Hammers face competition from Juventus with the Serie A champions also interested.

Mahrez leaves Algeria squad

07:00: Riyad Mahrez has been given permission to leave the Algeria squad and return to Europe to "formalise his transfer to his new club", the Algerian Football Federation has announced.
Leicester winger Mahrez has expressed a desire to leave the King Power Stadium and has been linked with a host of clubs over the summer, with Roma having already had three bids rejected for the 26-year-old, the third being £32million.
The likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are also reported to be interested in Mahrez, who was PFA Player of the Year in 2016 after playing a key role in Leicester's shock Premier League title win that season.
