• National Mirror was acquired in 2008 by the billionaire lawyer and business man, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim (OFR). His first task upon acquisition of the newspaper was its complete  refocus, giving it proper direction. He then acquired six states-of-the-art printing machines. The intention is to site the machines in each six geo political zones in the country.
• The Guardian is an independent newspaper, established in 1983 for the purpose of presenting balanced coverage of events, and of promoting the best interests of Nigeria. It owes allegiance to no political party, ethnic community, religious or other interest group. Its primary commitment is to the integrity and sovereignty of the Federation of Nigeria, and beyond that to the unity and sovereignty of Africa.
• THISDAY is published by THISDAY Newspapers Limited. It hit newsstands on January 22, 1995 and quickly carved out a niche for itself in business and political reporting and for breaking big news stories. It soon became Nigeria's newspaper of record 

• The Punch Newspaper was founded by two friends; James Aboderin, and accountant and Sam Amuka 
• Iwe Irohin, started publication in December, 1859 by C.M.S. Press under the direction of Rev. Henry Townsend
• The Sun Commenced it's activity in January 2013. First it started as a weekly and the on january 16 2013, it start as a daily.
• The Anglo-African started publication in 1863, it was published by Robert Campbell.
